Seeking Leadership Advice?

March 21, 2013

ImageI’ve been reading a leadership book called The 4 Disciplines of Execution or “4DX” by Chris McChesney, Sean Covey, and Jim Huling.  I’m always amazed when a complex subject such as the world of business is distilled into a simple formula.  The basic premise of this book is that leaders are enthusiastic about strategy and then lose steam around implementation.  If you’re looking for new leadership skills that will change the way you manage a team, consider reading 4DX, it might just lead to the breakthrough you are seeking.

Here are the four disciplines:

  1. Focus on the wildly important
  2. Act on the lead measures
  3. Keep a compelling scoreboard
  4. Create a cadence of accountability
